Museo Reina Sofía — Guernica
Madrid, Spain
About This Activity
Spain's premier modern art museum is housed in a converted 18th-century hospital with a dramatic glass elevator tower designed by Jean Nouvel. The permanent collection features Picasso's Guernica — arguably the 20th century's most powerful anti-war statement — alongside masterworks by Dalí, Miró, and Juan Gris. General admission is €12 (annual pass €18). Free entry on Monday afternoons, Saturday evenings, and for under-18s. The museum's rooftop café offers excellent city views and is open to all without a ticket.
Seasonal note: Year-round. Free Monday afternoons draw queues; book online to avoid waiting.
