About This Activity

The Barrio Santa Cruz was the medieval Jewish quarter (judería) of Seville — a labyrinth of whitewashed alleyways, wrought-iron balconies draped in bougainvillea, hidden plazas with orange trees, and tiled fountains. The neighborhood abuts the Alcázar walls and feels entirely removed from the modern city. Key spots include Plaza de Santa Cruz, Plaza de los Venerables, and the narrow Callejón del Agua alley that once carried water from the Alcázar. Walk early morning when the stones are cool and tourist-free, or at dusk when the light turns golden. Free to explore.

Seasonal note: Year-round. Avoid summer midday heat; early morning (before 9 AM) and dusk are magical. April fills with locals enjoying the spring air.
