About This Activity

The Real Alcázar is one of the oldest royal palaces still in use in Europe, constructed from the 10th century onward for the Moorish governors of Seville and later expanded by Christian kings. The Mudéjar architecture — a fusion of Islamic and Christian styles — produces some of the world's most intricate tilework, stucco carvings, and horseshoe arches. The gardens extend across 10 hectares of fountains, orange trees, and pavilions. General admission is €14.50. Book tickets online — daily visitor numbers are strictly limited. Famously used as a Game of Thrones filming location for Dorne.

Seasonal note: Year-round. Spring brings the gardens into bloom. Book tickets 1–2 weeks ahead in summer; same-day often unavailable.
