About This Activity

The Metropol Parasol, designed by Jürgen Mayer-Hermann and opened in 2011, is the world's largest wooden structure — six interlocking mushroom-shaped canopies rising 26 meters above the Plaza de la Encarnación. Locals call it Las Setas (The Mushrooms). A walkway spirals up the structure for 360-degree views across Seville's rooftops and cathedral spires; sunset is the most spectacular time. General admission is €15 (€12 for children 6–14 and EU students). Below, the Antiquarium museum houses Roman and Moorish ruins discovered during construction (often free with entry). Book timed tickets online to secure a sunset slot.

Seasonal note: Year-round. Sunset slots are most popular — book a week ahead in summer. Clear spring evenings offer the best city panoramas.
