Seville Cathedral & La Giralda Tower
Seville, Spain
About This Activity
Seville Cathedral is the largest Gothic cathedral in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, built between 1401–1506 on the site of the former Almohad mosque. Columbus is interred here in a famous monument supported by four royal pallbearers. La Giralda, the former mosque's minaret converted into a bell tower, offers panoramic views via a ramp (not stairs) built so horses could be ridden to the top. Standard online admission is €20 (€7 reduced); free admission on Sundays from 4:30–6 PM with online registration. Combined ticket covers both cathedral and tower.
Seasonal note: Year-round; closed Sunday mornings for Mass. Book online to avoid queues — Seville summer heat makes early morning visits essential.
