Chao Phraya River Boat Tour
Bangkok, Thailand
About This Activity
The Chao Phraya Express Boat is Bangkok's original highway, weaving past gilded temple spires, colonial shophouses, and wooden stilt villages. A tourist day pass (150 THB) gives unlimited hop-on hop-off stops between 8:30am and 7:15pm, linking all major riverside attractions from Sathorn to Nonthaburi. For a more atmospheric experience, hire a longtail boat through the Thonburi khlongs (canals) to see a slower side of city life. Sunset dinner cruises are also available from most riverside hotels.
Seasonal note: Year-round; avoid heavy rain days in monsoon season (Jun–Oct) when river can be choppy
