About This Activity

Wat Pho is Bangkok's oldest and largest temple, home to the iconic 46-meter-long Reclining Buddha covered in gold leaf. The temple complex also serves as the original center of traditional Thai massage, and you can book a 30-minute session at the on-site school for about 260 THB. Wander through courtyards filled with stupas, mythical guardian statues, and carved stone. Just a 10-minute walk south of the Grand Palace, Wat Pho makes a perfect pairing for a half-day temple visit. Admission is 300 THB; open daily 8am–7:30pm.

Seasonal note: Open year-round; mornings before 10am are least crowded
