Damnoen Saduak Floating Market
Bangkok, Thailand
About This Activity
Damnoen Saduak is Thailand's most iconic floating market, where wooden boats loaded with tropical fruit, cooked noodles, and handmade goods crowd narrow canals 100km southwest of Bangkok. Leave before 7am to arrive by 8am before the tour group rush (which peaks at 9–10am). Hire a private rowboat (200–300 THB/hr) or motorboat (600–800 THB/hr) to glide through the network of khlongs, stopping to sample boat noodles and fresh coconut. Entry to the market itself is free. Guided half-day tours from Bangkok including transport cost 500–800 THB.
Seasonal note: Open daily year-round; best during cool season when boat rides are comfortable
