Reunification Palace (Independence Palace), Saigon
Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
About This Activity
Reunification Palace (Dinh Thống Nhất) was the South Vietnamese president's residence and command center until April 30, 1975, when North Vietnamese tanks crashed through its gates in the war's iconic final scene. Preserved as it was in 1975, the building retains its State Room, cabinet room, command bunker with original communications equipment, and private presidential apartments. The striking 1960s modernist interior was designed by Vietnamese architect Ngô Viết Thụ. Entry is 40,000 VND (~$1.60); open daily 7:00am–6pm (ticket sales end 15:30). Free English-speaking guides available in the lobby for groups.
Seasonal note: Year-round indoor attraction. Occasionally closed to the public for VIP events — check ahead.
