Burano & Murano Island Day Trip by Vaporetto
Venice, Italy
About This Activity
Murano (30 minutes by vaporetto from Fondamente Nove) is where Venice's glass masters have worked since 1291 — watch a glassblower shape a vase or horse in a traditional fornace for free, then visit the Glass Museum (€10). Burano (40 minutes further) is a fishing island of wildly painted houses in purple, red, turquoise, and yellow that reflect in the canal waters. The combination makes a full day. A ACTV 24-hour vaporetto pass (€25) covers all water bus trips.
Seasonal note: Best spring and autumn; summer crowds reduce Burano charm
