Vaporetto Line 1 runs the entire 3.8km Grand Canal — a 45-minute floating tour past the Ca' d'Oro, Rialto Bridge, and Ca' Rezzonico for just €9.50 (day pass €25). For the classic gondola experience, the official tariff is €90 per gondola (up to 5 people) for 30 minutes during the day, rising to €110 after 7pm — negotiate the route before boarding. A budget alternative is the €2 traghetto gondola ferry, which crosses the canal at several points in the traditional standing position.
