Venetian Mask-Making Workshop for Families
Venice, Italy
About This Activity
In a family-friendly mask atelier near Campo San Polo, a Venetian artisan teaches you to decorate authentic papier-mache carnival masks using gold leaf, feathers, and acrylic paints. Children age 5+ receive a pre-shaped blank mask and guided instruction while adults work on more elaborate designs. The 90-minute workshop includes all materials and each participant takes home their finished mask. The experience connects families to Venice's 800-year Carnival tradition in a hands-on, creative way.
Seasonal note: Year-round indoor activity; extra fun during Carnival season (February)
