St. Mark's Square — Campanile, Basilica & Doge's Palace
Venice, Italy
About This Activity
Piazza San Marco is ringed by three of Venice's greatest monuments: St. Mark's Basilica (free entry, advance reservation required for the presbytery and treasury), the Doge's Palace (€14-20), and the 98-meter Campanile bell tower (€10) with its elevator to panoramic lagoon views. Come early — the piazza gets extremely crowded by 10 AM in summer and suffers acqua alta flooding November through January. Free to walk through at any hour.
Seasonal note: Avoid November-January acqua alta flooding; summer extremely crowded
