Lumpini Park & Skyline Views
Bangkok, Thailand
About This Activity
Lumpini Park is Bangkok's answer to Central Park — 142 acres of lawns, lake, and tree-lined paths in the heart of the Silom business district. Early mornings fill with locals practicing tai chi and aerobics; evenings bring joggers and families. The lake is home to large water monitor lizards (up to 2 meters long) that wander freely — a surreal Bangkok sight. Rent a paddleboat for 40 THB per 30 minutes, or simply enjoy the contrast of swaying palms against skyscrapers. Free to enter; open daily 4:30am–9pm.
Seasonal note: Open year-round; visit early morning or late afternoon to avoid heat and humidity
