Chiang Mai Night Bazaar
Chiang Mai, Thailand
About This Activity
Chiang Mai's Night Bazaar on Chang Klan Road has operated since the 1920s, when it served as a stop on the ancient trade route between Yunnan and the Malay peninsula. Today it's a sprawling complex open nightly (roughly 6pm–11pm) selling hilltribe textiles, silverware, lacquerware, wood carvings, and silk at bargain prices. The Galare Food Court within the bazaar offers northern Thai dishes alongside live traditional music. Don't miss the smaller Kalare Night Bazaar next door and the street food carts lining the main road.
Seasonal note: Open nightly year-round, 6pm–11pm; most lively on weekends
