About This Activity

Doi Inthanon National Park, 90km south of Chiang Mai, encompasses Thailand's highest mountain (2,565m) and spectacular highland scenery. Highlights include Wachirathan and Sirithan waterfalls, the Twin Royal Pagodas at 2,200m altitude with panoramic mountain views, misty cloud forest trails, and world-class bird-watching (400+ species). Hill tribe villages of the Karen and Hmong people dot the mountain slopes. Park admission is 300 THB for foreigners; the Twin Chedis require an additional 100 THB. Full-day guided tours from Chiang Mai typically cost 1,500–2,000 THB including transport and entry fees.

Seasonal note: Best Nov–Feb for cool weather, wildflowers, and clear views; the Kew Mae Pan trail may close in rainy season (Jun–Oct)
