Thai Cooking Class in Chiang Mai
Chiang Mai, Thailand
About This Activity
Chiang Mai is widely regarded as the best place in Thailand to take a cooking class, with schools like Thai Farm Cooking School offering farm-to-table experiences in lush organic garden settings. After a local market visit to select ingredients, you'll cook four to five dishes including northern Thai specialties like khao soi (curry noodle soup), laab (spiced minced meat salad), and som tum (papaya salad). Half-day classes cost around 1,200 THB; full-day 1,500 THB. Classes include hotel pickup, a recipe booklet, and all ingredients. Book at least a week ahead during high season.
Seasonal note: Available year-round; book ahead during Nov–Feb peak season when classes fill quickly
