About This Activity

Every Sunday from around 4pm to midnight, Ratchadamnoen Road in the Old City transforms into Chiang Mai's most atmospheric walking street market. Note that the popular Saturday silversmith market runs on Wualai Road (5–10:30pm), while this Sunday market centers on Ratchadamnoen Road and flows through the historic Old City quarter. Local artisans sell handwoven textiles, pottery, original artwork, and street food including sai oua (herbed sausage) and khanom krok (coconut rice pancakes). Arrive at opening to catch the best selection before crowds build.

Seasonal note: Sundays only, 4pm–midnight; year-round but most vibrant during cool season (Nov–Feb)
