Hot Air Balloon over the Theban Necropolis
Luxor, Egypt
About This Activity
Luxor hot air balloon flights are among the most iconic experiences in Egypt. Departing at dawn (typically 5am), you'll drift in silence over the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut's temple, the green Nile valley, and the vast Theban desert. Flights last about 45 minutes to 1 hour, landing in the West Bank sugarcane fields as the sun rises over Karnak on the east bank. Book only with reputable operators — Hod Hod Soliman and Magic Horizon are considered the most safety-conscious. Prices range from $70-120 per person. All flights are subject to wind and weather; cancellations are common in summer and winter fog months. Book the night before for next-morning departure.
