Fushimi Sake District Walk & Brewery Tasting
Kyoto, Japan
About This Activity
Fushimi, just south of Kyoto, has produced sake for over 600 years thanks to its legendary soft underground spring water. Walk the atmospheric willow-lined canal district of Fushimi-Momoyama, then enter one of the area's active family breweries for a guided tasting of junmai, ginjo, and seasonal nama (unpasteurized) sake, paired with local pickles. The district sits adjacent to Fushimi Inari Shrine, allowing easy combination with a morning shrine visit.
Seasonal note: New-season sake (shiboritate) released winter
