Ikebana Flower Arrangement Workshop in a Kyoto Townhouse
Kyoto, Japan
About This Activity
This 90-minute ikebana workshop takes place inside a traditional Kyoto machiya (wooden townhouse) near Kyoto Imperial Palace. An accredited ikebana instructor teaches the foundational principles of three Japanese arranging schools — Ikenobo, Ohara, and Sogetsu — covering seasonal materials, asymmetry, negative space, and the symbolic use of stems, leaves, and flowers. You design your own arrangement to take home. Groups are small (max 6 people) for hands-on attention. Conveniently located for combining with the Imperial Palace gardens.
Seasonal note: Spring and autumn bring seasonal blooms
