Han River Picnic & Cycling at Yeouido
Seoul, South Korea
About This Activity
Yeouido Hangang Park is the most popular stretch of Seoul's 40km riverside green belt, where locals picnic, cycle, and grill on warm afternoons and weekends. Bike rentals cost ₩3,000 per hour at kiosks near Yeouinaru Station. In April, the annual Yeouido Spring Flower Festival draws huge crowds for the cherry blossoms lining Yunjungno Street. Grab cup ramyeon from a convenience store, find a mat-covered spot by the water, and watch the Yeouido skyline reflect in the river at sunset — a genuinely local Seoul experience.
Seasonal note: Best in spring (April for cherry blossoms at the Yeouido Spring Flower Festival) and autumn. Summer evenings are lively but hot and humid; winter is chilly but peaceful.
