About This Activity

Insadong-gil is a pedestrian street (car-free Sat 2pm–10pm, Sun 10am–10pm) lined with celadon pottery galleries, hanji paper craft shops, antique dealers, and traditional tea houses in hanok buildings. The Ssamziegil courtyard off the main lane is a highlight — a spiral of indie boutiques, street food, and design studios. Jogyesa Temple is a five-minute walk away. Weekends draw the most energy with street performers and souvenir stalls; weekday mornings are calm and good for browsing galleries.

Seasonal note: Year-round. Most atmospheric on weekends when the street goes pedestrian-only and vendors set up stalls.
